Bring your gear
While the facility will provide some things, if you have a favorite cushion, then bring that along. You never know what you’ll find when you arrive at the center. It’s best to be prepared by bringing along your go-to meditation gear, the HuffPost says.
Give it a chance
Some of these retreats restrict your talking. That’s not something some people are comfortable with or accustomed to. If that’s the case with you, though, don’t throw in the towel just yet. Take it one hour at a time
If the thought of spending six hours a day sitting down, just meditating seems to incite panic in your chest, take a deep breath. If six hours is too long for you, take it one hour at a time. Break it down. That’s going to make it tolerable for you. You may not be sure you can last for the entire six hours, but telling yourself you can last an hour can help your fortitude and keep you on track of the meditation practice retreat program.
Meditation doesn’t mean neglecting your exercises. Find a way to integrate them into your schedule. Set some time aside to do a few yoga stretches and poses. Do them throughout the day as needed.
