Guests can take in one of the most historic cities in the world while enjoying all the modern amenities. Many local attractions are within easy walking distance, and Edinburgh is a wonderful place to explore on foot.

Just over a mile and a half from the hotel is the famous Edinburgh Castle. The castle is open for visitors all year except Christmas Day and Boxing Day. You’ll be able to historic treasures like he esplanade, the gatehouse, the battery, the prison, the vaults for the Scottish crown jewels, the war memorial, and St. Margaret’s Chapel.

The Edinburgh Zoo is less than two miles from the Piries Hotel in Edinburgh. Check the zoo’s website ahead of time to make sure you’ll be there during one of their viewing slot times when the giant pandas are available for the public to see. The royal yacht Britannia is docked three and a half miles from the hotel. Visitors can take a tour that includes part of the royal residence and then enjoy tea and cake.
