What Are the Symptoms of the Coronavirus Disease?

The Chelsea At Clifton is an Assisted Living Community for the elderly. At our facility, we make sure the seniors living here enjoy life in a comfortable and safe environment. We take all the safety measures necessary to see to it that our residents do not become infected with COVID-19. Periodic testing is performed, face masks are worn, and social distancing is practiced. Decontamination of the premises is done before and after visits.

Although we test for COVID-19 on a regular basis, we feel you should be aware of the symptoms of this disease. Symptoms can manifest from two days to two weeks after being exposed to this virus, and these symptoms can be mild to severe. Here’s what to look for:

  • A rise in temperature
  • Coughing
  • Lack of energy
  • Achiness
  • Recently losing your sense of taste
  • Recent loss of sense of smell
  • Throat soreness
  • Stuffy nose
  • Runny nose
  • Upset stomach
  • Vomiting
  • Watery Stools

These are some of the signs of COVID-19. Note that there are others, however. Serious symptoms that would require emergency care include breathing problems, chest pain, chest pressure, sudden confusion, blue face or lips, or being unable to wake up or remain awake.
